Influenster Voxbox l February 2015

So unfortunately, i don't have any pictures for this review :( It would've been smart of me to take pictures before using everything, total fail. So i was lucky enough to have influenster send me some items to test out & give my hones opinions about, which is awesome - i really enjoyed this voxbox! make sure you go sign up and maybe you can get the chance to receive something from them!

Beanitos white bean chips in nacho cheese & plain white bean chips with sea salt:  I LOVED THESE! They are just like tortilla chips, but so much better. I preferred the plain ones, dip them in mango salso- PERFECTION. I will definitely be buying these again!

Covergirl Ultrasmooth Foundation: I'm always happy when i receive makeup products, but lately i have not been loving drugstore foundations. This foundation wasn't too bad, it makes your skin feel really smooth, and it's that kind of foundation where it doesn't feel like your wearing anything. Which is all great! But i need something with a little more coverage.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Light Comforting Cream:  In the past i've actually read good things about this product. If you've read my other posts, you'd know my skin is a pain in the butt. Dealing with a cold winter too, doesn't help my dry skin either! This product may be good for some people who don't have dry skin like i do. I wanted to like this product but it didn't do anything for me unfortunately.

Skinny Girl Tasty Nutrition Bar: I'm not a fan of granola bars. I think they all taste like some kind of cardboard or something lol. This wasn't too bad though. I love chocolate so the dark chocolate drizzle on top of the bar was a nice touch!

Dentek Comfort Clean Floss Picks & Fun Flossers: To me they were just your average dental floss..

Listerine Freshburst Pocketpaks:  I liked these! I really feel like these have improved from how they used to be, they're stronger & i feel like the flavor lasts longer.

Hope you enjoyed! Again, sorry for no pictures :( Thanks!

Myself & my fiance come up with craft ideas literally every week, haha. We started something new and made sugar scrubs. Thanks!

♡ Product Review: Influenster Mary Kay Clear Proof Vox Box

I know, LONG time no update! So I was given the opportunity to take part in the influenster Mary Kay vox box :) I wanted to give you my opinion on the following products I received. Just a little FYI on my skin - i used to have extremely oily skin, but now it has changed to somewhat normal, but with very dry patches [annoying!] & it is also sensitive to a lot of products-so i am very picky when it comes to facial products!

So I believe you can purchase the whole set for $45 - or you can buy each product individually. The set comes with:

Clarifying Cleansing Gel: This is the first product you would use. It's your basic face cleanser. It claims to remove dirt & oil, clears pores & gives your face a deep cleanse.
My opinion: You know the feeling when you wash your face? Usually you feel that refreshing feeling - I didn't get that feeling when using this. I actually felt like after i washed it off, my face felt like there was a layer of something on it.

Blemish Control Toner: I actually didn't review this product. My face & toners do not mix well. I already have such dry patches - i feel like this would make my face even MORE dry! However, just from doing some research on Mary Kay's website- It claims to tone your skin without drying, cleanses skin & helps control shine.

Acne Treatment Gel: This product claims to clear up pimples fast - and prevents new ones from forming.
My Opinion: I used this on some breakouts I had, and I actually was impressed. For me, by two days I did see shrinking in the pimples. Didn't dry my face out or anything. So I think I will definitely continue to use this!

Oil Free Moisturizer: This product claims to replenish moisture in your skin, balance it out & leave it with a matte finish.
My Opinion: I had mentioned that I do get very dry patches on my skin - so "oil free" is a no no for my skin, haha. I used this but because of my dry skin it didn't do much for me. After washing my face i would apply this, and my skin would still feel so dry. If you have more normal skin, then i'm sure you could get away with using it.

Final thoughts: I don't not like this product, I just feel like it wasn't for me because of how sensitive/dry my skin gets. Like i stated above - if you have more normal skin, I would definitely give this product a try!

♡ Hello Toothpaste & Mouthwash Review

Okay, so not only is this packaging ADORABLE lol this is definitely my new favorite toothpaste & mouthwash. I saw someone posted it on instagram, because it was pink it of course caught my eye, and knowing nothing about it i went to Walgreens & bought it. The mouthwash comes in a few different flavors, you have:
supermint
mojito mint
pink grapefruit mint *
& sweet cinnamint

It's 99% natural, contains no alcohol. I'm not a big fan of the mouthwash, the best way i can describe the taste of it- imagine lipsticks turned into a liquid, haha. but really- that's exactly what it tastes like to me! it's definitely something you can deal with though.
The toothpaste comes in the same flavors- remember going to the dentist as a kid and they used that bubble gum flavored stuff? I feel like that's what it tastes like! I think these products are great, and inexpensive. I think they we're like $5 each. I can definitely see my teeth are definitely white after using this. It's not like an omg my teeth are 10 different shades brighter, but you can definitely tell they are brighter & clean :)

♡ Michael Todd Combination Skin Kit Review

I bought this kit online probably about a month ago. I'm always seeing people on YouTube say such good things about it so i figured i'd give it a try. As I've said in other posts, i do have combination skin. It gets oily but then i have those annoying dry patches & redness. Now I obviously know everyone has different skin, maybe this product does work on other peoples, but i haven't seen a BIG difference in mine. The kit i bought on the website for $33, [it's originally $66.]

It comes with 5 items- you have your cleanser, toner, scrub, face mask & lotion. Here is what everything is in detail, from the website:

(1) Cleanse: CLEANSE AND TONE cleanse | tone | remove makeup – 50 ml / 1.7 fl oz
A multi-function facial cleanser-toner-makeup remover that cleans deeply to remove impurities while also toning the skin. Highly absorbent Charcoal penetrates deep into pores to gently remove dirt, oil and other impurities without the drying effects of alcohol. Antioxidant Vitamins together with organic teas and essential oils help fight environmental stressors. Rinses thoroughly without residue leaving skin feeling clean, soft and smooth. Prepares the skin for serums and moisturizer.

(2) Tone: ORGANIC LEMON aha+dmae toner – 50 ml / 1.7 fl oz
A refreshing toner with the aroma of fresh lemons. Blended with DMAE and Alpha Hydroxy Acid to firm, lift and tighten the skin while easing away the appearance of fine lines, blotches and discolorations for more vibrant, even-toned radiant looking skin. Contains black willow tree extract recognized for thousands of years for its healing power and fresh, warm, spicy tea tree oil a powerful immune stimulant to help fight infections and promote clear skin. Maintains the skin’s proper pH without the drying effects of alcohol. Prepares skin for serums and moisturizers.

(3) Scrub: JOJOBA CHARCOAL facial scrub – 40 ml / 1.3 floz
Unique facial scrub formulated using the powers of Jojoba Wax Beads and Activated Charcoal to effectively remove dead skin, impurities and toxins. Gentle enough for sensitive and acne prone skin types. Jojoba Wax Beads provide gentle exfoliation without leaving microlacerations on delicate skin. Highly absorbent Activated Charcoal penetrates deeply into pores to draw out impurities and toxins. Refines texture and encourages skin renewal, leaving skin smooth and refreshed.

(4) Hydrate: CITRUS CREAM MOISTURIZER with dmae and hyaluronic acid – 40 ml / 1.3 floz
Light, soothing hydrating cream moisturizer infused with essential oils of sweet and mandarin oranges, tangerines, lemons and limes. DMAE firms skin, and improves fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic Acid (a humectant) attracts moisture to the skin restoring the skin’s optimal moisture balance. Skin is left feeling moist, smooth and younger looking all day.
(5) Treat: PUMPKIN nutrient-rich facial mask – 40 ml / 1.3 floz
Rejuvenating facial treatment which uses nutrient-rich Pumpkin blended with Glycolic Acid. Contains high concentrations ofProteolytic enzymes, anti-oxidant beta carotene and over 100 other essential vitamins, minerals, phytosterols and fatty acids. Exfoliates to remove dead skin, impurities and toxins, moisturizes and firms, improves elasticity and pliability of the skin, unclogs pores allowing skin to breathe and facilitates movement of skin oils. Adds brightness and radiance to the skin and significantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I usually the cleanse, toner & moisturizer daily, and the pumpkin face mask - probably about once every 2 weeks, and i don't use the face scrub that often. I have noticed that my skin is..i guess you can say more balanced? When I would wear makeup my dry patches became more noticeable - then the day goes on and of course i get really oily, so I think in some ways It has helped. However, in my head i thought using organic face products would maybeee help with some of the redness, but it really hasn't helped my complexion/acne at all. I think this is a great product to invest in if you do have combination skin and you are looking to balance it out:)

♡ Our first restaurant review! Joe's Crab Shack!

Okay, so this is something different! As you all can tell, we wanted this to a be a review blog about absolutely everything and anything lol. So here it is- our first restaurant review! We went to Joe's Crab Shack. Now i'm not much of a seafood person, but we should we would try it out anyways. We were actually the only people in there because i'm pretty sure we went right when they opened lol. It was our first time there, the atmosphere of the place is great. Nice bar, a lot of funny signs around the whole place. The table set up consists of a bucket in the middle of the table where you put all your trash, unlimited paper towels lol and the salt/pepper shakers are corona bottles!

one word: AMAZING. Calamari is the only seafood i will actually eat. We ordered this as an appetizer. It comes in a perfect size bowl, enough for two people, and a side of marinara sauce. If you ever go to eat here- i highly recommend this! delicious.

Meal time! Like i said, i'm not much of a seafood person (john is) so i went with the chipotle bacon burger, & it comes with a side of your choice- i went with the fries. Everything was cooked perfectly. It is a big burger so i definitely couldn't finish it lol. It was a little messy, but nothing crazy. Overall, i would definitely go back to this restaurant. Great food & great service!
